Mr. Aaronovitch,

Just wanted to drop a quick line and tell you how much I am enjoying the book. I am about three-quarters of the way through it (downloaded the Kindle version) and I have to say, I am thankful that there are people like yourself out there writing books like this.

About fifteen years ago, prior to having any academic experience, I had read HBHG and thought it was absolute garbage. It's refreshing to see someone pen a thoughtful, well-researched rebuke to trash like that, as well as the recent pouplarity in 9/11 conspiracies.

Thanks again, as it is inspiring for someone like myself.

Respectfully,

Greg Drobny

As far as I know this story first came out in the Telegraph a couple of weeks ago.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/7415082/French-bread-spiked-with-LSD-in-CIA-experiment.html

A writer for Reason repeated the story cautioning: "Just something to think about for those who reflexively assume government agent's never do insanely unprovoked and irresponsible criminal acts." The writer was deluged with comments by readers admonishing him for being so credulous and not using the possessive apotrophe correctly.
